     The English size.    

     If you didn’t know, all golf balls in the world used to be the English size. A fraction smaller than the latest American size.

 We still have original production tooling and want to know if people would  like to try the original  balls which at 1.62” (41mm)  diameter. fly further.

    Years ago, America\the world, used the English size ball but somebody in the USA wasn’t playing so well and blamed the ball. The US  association was persuaded to allow a bigger ball  

    1.68”(42.6mm) diameter. said to stand up higher in the grass. Do you believe that?.

 The tiny difference  of  0.020” (0.5mm)  radius enough to make any difference in supporting it higher on the grass?

              It sounds like pure marketing .

  However,the truth of the matter is, market forces ruled the day.

America,a vast market, their top players did not like coming  over here having to use the English  ball,

 because they thought the slightly smaller ball put them at a disadvantage with UK players.

    The R & A were weak enough to give in to the pressure  and you are stuck with the big ball.
